💃 My Dance Journey

Image
My dance journey started when I was just three years old. From that young age, rhythm became a natural part of my life. I began my training with beautiful, traditional Kandyan dancing. This art form taught me discipline and deeply connected me to our rich culture. Along with dancing, I also learned how to play traditional drums. Feeling the beat of the drum makes my dancing and timing even stronger. As I grew older, I expanded my skills to include Low Country dance and a little bit of Sabaragamuwa dance. Right now, my focus is on mastering Indian classical dances. I am currently learning the elegant movements of Kathak and the precise steps of Bharatanatyam. Every new classical routine gives me a fresh way to express my emotions on stage. However, my passion does not stop there. I am eager to learn many more dance styles from around the world. One day, I would like to become a famous and talented dancer. Dance is my true voice, and I will keep practicing until I reach that goal. ...

📚 My Small Home Library

Image
Today, I want to tell you about my small home library. I have a small book collection in my room, and it is my favorite place. It may not be big, but it is full of books I love. I love reading books in my free time. My library is just a small cane bookshelf in the corner of my bedroom. It has three shelves full of colorful books. Every day, I sit on my comfy chair next to the shelf and enjoy reading. It is my favorite place in the whole house because reading takes me on magical adventures. My library has storybooks, novels, and some educational books. Keeping my books organized is important to me. I arrange them by size and type, and sometimes I decorate the shelves with small plants and statues. Gunasena Bookshop Kandy I always buy books from the Gunasena bookshop in Kandy. One day, I will build a big book collection just like the one shown below. My small home library gives me peace, knowledge, and happiness. Even though it is small, it is very special to me.

🏺 Ceramic

Image
Ceramic is one of the oldest materials used by humans. People make ceramics by heating clay at high temperatures. This process makes the clay hard, strong, and long-lasting . Ceramic items are used in everyday life, like plates, cups, and bowls. They are also used in art because they can be shaped easily and decorated with many colors and designs. Ceramics are safe for food because they do not react with what we eat or drink. Many ceramic products are heat-resistant, so they can be used in ovens. They also stay cool on the outside, which makes them comfortable to hold. Ceramics come in many beautiful colors and patterns, making them perfect for home decoration. They are easy to clean and can last for many years. Today, ceramics are even used in technology, like in phone parts and medical tools. Overall, ceramic is a useful material that combines beauty and strength in our daily lives.

✨️ My Favorite Place to Relax

Image
My favorite place to relax is the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. It is a peaceful and spiritual place that many people visit every day. This temple is surrounded by beautiful nature and holds the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. It is one of the most important religious places in Sri Lanka. When I go there, I feel calm and relaxed. The sound of prayers, the smell of fresh flowers, and the quiet atmosphere make it very special. I like to walk around slowly and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The beautiful lake and green hills around the temple make the view even more relaxing. Many visitors come here to pray, think quietly, and find inner peace. Spending time at the temple helps me forget my stress and worries. I enjoy sitting quietly and observing the beauty around me. For me, the Temple of the Tooth Relic is not just a religious place, but also the perfect spot to relax and feel peaceful. It will always be my favorite place.

🌧️ A Rainy Day Experience

Image
One day, I experienced a beautiful rainy day. The sky became dark, and cool wind started to blow. Soon, soft raindrops began falling from the clouds. I stood near the window and watched the rain. The sound of raindrops hitting on the roof was so calm and peaceful . The smell of wet earth made the air and made everything feel fresh. The trees and plants looked greener and brighter after the rain . Outside, children were playing and laughing happily in the puddles. I made myself a warm cup of tea and listened to the gentle rain sounds. I also read a book and felt completely relaxed. Although the weather was cold and gray , my heart felt warm and peaceful. That rainy day became a simple but unforgettable memory.

🍵 A Cup of Tea and My Thoughts

Image
There is something special about a quiet moment with a cup of tea. This afternoon, I made myself a cup because everything was so peaceful. I put the tea bag in hot water and watched it change color. The warm steam touched my face as I held the mug. I sat by the window and took a slow sip. My tea tasted sweet and a little bit like mint. While I drank it, I started thinking about different things. Sometimes, I plan my day, sometimes I remember happy memories, and sometimes I just enjoy being in the moment. I thought what it would be like to travel to a different country one day. Life gets so busy that I forget to slow down and breathe. This simple cup of tea reminded me to take a break. The warm mug felt comforting in my hands. After finishing my tea, I felt so much better. Taking a small break like this is definitely the best part of my day.
